ENERGY Minister Makozo Chikote says the country is importing about 550 megawatts while only exporting 80 megawatts of electricity. Speaking when he featured on Diamond TV, Monday, Chikote said the imports were coming from the Southern African Power Pool. “First, I will start by explaining to you that first of all, we have to talk about how much power we are importing. Currently, we are importing about 550 megawatts from the Southern Pool Market. This is via South Africa, Zimbabwe and Namibia.
