THE Road Transport and Safety Agency (RTSA) has announced a K1 reduction in bus fares, following the recent fuel price cut by the Energy Regulation Board (ERB). However, this fare reduction applies only to local routes in Lusaka, the Copperbelt and other towns. No reduction has been effected for inter-mine and intercity routes. The ERB recently reduced the price of petrol from K31.36 to K28 and diesel from K25.12 to K23.13. Kerosene also saw a drop from K24.79 to K21.98, and Jet-1 from K27.08 to K23.94.
