CONTEMPORARY folk and traditional conscious artiste Sista D says the music industry needs more women, noting that few have joined since she started, while male musicians enter the industry every day. She says she has organised Divas Night for 15 years to give women a platform to perform and showcase their talent, but the number is still so small she can count them on her fingers.
