ON Monday, the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) revealed that it had arrested three officers from the Ministry of Livestock and Fisheries for allegedly misappropriating part of a US$10 million loan which government obtained from the African Development Bank (AfDB) in 2019. Without passing judgement on the accused persons, the arrest of these three officers reminds us of how deeply entrenched corruption remains in our public sector.
