THE Economic and Financial Crimes Court has dismissed an application by former president Edgar Lungu’s son, Dalitso, to halt the forfeiture of his properties deemed to be proceeds of crime. In this matter, Dalitso had appealed the High Court ruling, which ordered the forfeiture of over 70 vehicles and 21 properties belonging to him. He argued that the court erred when it rejected his unchallenged affidavit evidence that his father, late former president Edgar Lungu, financed the purchase of some of his properties.
