THE Court of Appeal has dismissed former Lusaka Province minister Bowman Lusambo’s renewed application for bail pending appeal against his conviction and sentence imposed by the Lusaka Magistrates’ Court on November 18, 2024. In this matter, on November 18, 2024, Lusambo was convicted and sentenced to four years’ imprisonment by the Subordinate Court on 10 counts relating to abuse of authority of office, tax evasion, and possession of property reasonably suspected to be proceeds of crime.
