ZESCO has announced the implementation of the Kasama 100MW Solar Photovoltaic (PV) Project at a total cost of $84.2 million. Meanwhile, President Hakainde Hichilema says the groundbreaking of the Kasama Solar PV Project at the height of elections demonstrates that energy must transcend elections. Speaking during the groundbreaking ceremony in Kasama, Friday, Zesco Managing Director Justin Loongo said that the project was being implemented by Zesco Limited under an engineering, procurement and construction arrangement, fully financed through Zesco’s equity. “For many years, Zambia has benefited greatly from hydropower.
