The Ministry of Lands and Natural Resources says government has released K14 million to the Zambia National Service for Road works.
Ministry of Lands and Natural Resources public relations officer Diniwe Zulu disclosed in a statement that the road works would be undertaken in Chibombo, Chisamba, Chitambo, Livingstone, Mwansabomwe, Ngabwe, Ndola and Pemba Districts as well as drainage works in Chilanga District.
“Government through the Ministry of Lands and Natural Resources has released K14, 478,749.01 to the Zambia National Service under the Land Development Fund for road works in Chibombo, Chisamba, Chitambo, Livingstone, Mwansabomwe, Ngabwe, Ndola and Pemba Districts as well as the undertaking of drainage works in Chilanga District. This was after the Land Development Fund Committee approved the release of the funds at its meeting held on 26th October 2017,” stated Zulu.
“The Ministry will ensure periodic monitoring of the works to be undertaken. Established under the Lands Act of 1995 under Section16 (1), the Land Development Fund is administered by the Ministry of Lands and Natural Resources to assist local authorities to open up new areas for development. The Land Development Fund is used for the preparation of the layout plans, demarcation and surveying, construction of roads, water reticulation and electricity provision to the project site areas.” stated Zulu.

Good development. But why isn’t there any follow up from the media (News Diggers!) on when the works will commence and which roads specifically will be worked on in all these districts? Please don’t end at the press statement.
That US$1.4 based on the cost of building zambian roads that will make 1 kilometre. Where is consistency with government
