ECONOMIST Chibamba Kanyama says the projected 3.5 percent growth rate is dependent on how the private sector will respond to the economic triggers announced in the 2022 budget. In an interview, Kanyama said though 3.5 percent growth rate was minimal for the country, it was beneficial given the economic recession in 2020. “The projected growth rate of 3.5 percent for 2022 will definitely be achieved provided the private sector aggressively responds to some of the economic triggers announced by the Minister of Finance Situmbeko Musokotwane.
