ZESCO Limited has attributed the current power outages being experienced in some parts of Lusaka to maintenance and rehabilitation works. The company says it is conducting maintenance works under the Lusaka Transmission, Distribution and Rehabilitation Project (LTDRP), a joint programme between Zambia and the European Union. In a statement, Friday, ZESCO Director Planning and Projects Gyavira Bwalya assured that the power outage was not as a result of load-shedding. “Zesco Limited would like to advise customers and members of the general public that the current power outages being experienced in some parts of Lusaka are a result of maintenance and rehabilitation works and not load-shedding.
