ECONOMIST Dr Lubinda Haabazoka says the drop in inflation by 0.3 per cent will not translate in the reduction of the cost of living. On Thursday, ZAMSTATS Acting Statistician General Sheila Mudenda announced that the annual inflation rate for March 2025 had reduced by 0.3 percent; from 16.8 percent in February 2025 to 16.5 percent in March. Meanwhile, the Gross Domestic Product (GDP) estimates for the fourth quarter of 2024 indicate that the country’s economy grew by 8.6 percent, from 7.8 percent in the fourth quarter of 2023.
