THE Food Reserve Agency (FRA) says Zambia has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) to export one million metric tonnes of surplus maize. FRA Board Chairperson Suresh Desai said the move is part of broader efforts to tap into the growing demand for maize in the region, adding that the private sector will play a vital role in the export process.
