THE Bank of Zambia (BoZ) has again maintained the Monetary Policy Rate at 14.5 percent. And BoZ Governor Dr Denny Kalyalya says the new K100 and K50 banknotes will be released into circulation on September 1, 2025. Meanwhile, BoZ Director Banking and Currency Angela Chileshe says the Central Bank has so far withdrawn about K9.9 billion of the old currency from circulation.
