THE Lusaka High Court has dismissed a matter in which Chapter One foundation sued the Zambia Medicines and Regulatory Authority (ZAMRA) and the Zambia Medicines and Medical Supplies Agency (ZAMMSA) over the distribution and recall of defective drugs and medical supplies. The matter has been dismissed in its entirety on a point of law. In this matter, Chapter One Foundation sued ZAMRA and ZAMMSA for allegedly failing to ensure that the public was provided with accurate description of all recalled medicines and medical supplies procured from Honeybee Pharmaceuticals.
