A WITNESS has narrated to the Lusaka Magistrates’ Court how she allegedly saw a judiciary stores officer, Precious Nkunika, getting a baby from a cleaner, Rebecca Mkandawire at UTH. Veronica Mwanza, 51, a businesswoman, testified that Nkunika was seen seated in the security guard’s chair while pretending to be holding a baby in a white shawl, before she was later handed an actual baby by Mkandawire. This is a matter in which Nkunika, 28; Emilly Hall, 37; Rebecca Mkandawire, 42, a maid at UTH; and Nelly Kasalo, 41, a nutrition demonstrator at UTH, all of Lusaka, are charged with one count of child stealing.
