ABOUT 1,000 medical practitioners have sued the Zambia Medical Association (ZMA) in the High Court, challenging the resolutions made at its Annual General Meeting to impose a K300 building levy per month on each member. Dr Zacks Ndumba and 999 others are seeking a declaration that the AGM held on August 30 and 31, 2024, did not meet a quorum as per requirement in the Association’s constitution. They also want a declaration that the decisions and resolutions passed at the AGM were illegal and therefore null and void.
