FORMER Kasama PF MP Kelvin Sampa has appeared before the Lusaka Magistrates’ Court and denied four counts of illegal possession of forged bank notes, theft by agent and possession of paper or implements for forgery. Sampa, 52, of Ibex Hill in Lusaka, pleaded not guilty before Magistrate Ireen Wishimanga yesterday. In the first count, it is alleged that between July 27, 2024 and September 30, 2024, Sampa jointly and whilst acting together with other persons unknown, being a person entrusted with US$70, 000 cash by Kunihiro Fugishima to buy gold on his behalf, did steal the said money, property of Kunihiro.
