FDD leader Edith Nawakwi again failed to appear before the Lusaka Magistrates’ Court yesterday in a matter where she is charged with four counts of threatening violence and abduction as she is unwell. Her lawyer, Chifumu Banda, State Counsel, informed Magistrate Amy Masoja-Chilangwa that his client was still sick and unable to attend court. On January 14, 2025, Nawakwi had also failed to appear before Magistrate Masoja-Chilangwa for similar reasons.
