A FORMER magistrate has petitioned the state in the Constitutional Court, seeking an order for the payment of K2,147,239 in salary arrears from October 1, 2013, to date. Ford Chombo wants a declaration that the state’s failure to promptly pay his pension benefits and the decision to remove him from the payroll before the payment of his pension benefits, is contrary to Article 189(2) of the Constitution (Amendment) Act No. 2 of 2016.
