ZANACO Football Club General Manager Marlon Kananda says management will soon consider extending coach Mumamba Numba’s contract but that the club is firstly focusing on the matches in the transitional league.
Kananda told Goal Diggers! in an interview that management had already extended Young ZANACO coach Henry Banda’s contract and that it would do so when the time comes for Numba.
“Our goal is to focus on each and every game as it comes and respect our opponents. Numba and the technical team have done very well and this can be seen from the spirit the team is exhibiting. So, the way forward is for us to talk on the pitch and continue working hard. Definitely we shall consider extending his contract when the time comes. They have a running contract and we are focussed on the game because currently that’s what matters. Recently we renewed Henry Banda’s contract for young ZANACO because the time had come for talking,” he said.
ZANACO opened a three points lead in stream A after beating Kitwe United 4-3 at the Sunset Stadium in Lusaka on Sunday. It is the clubs third successful win of the campaign making it three wins out of three matches. Their rivals ZESCO United did not play as they had to travel to Ghana for their Confederations cup match against Asante Kotoko.
