Super league runner-up Green Eagles have arrived in Kigali, Rwanda ahead of their first ever regional tournament, the CECAFA Kagame cup.
Eagles recently lost to ZESCO united 3-1 on penalties in a league coronation match played last weekend at Woodlands stadium.
The Choma based side arrived in Kigali on Wednesday and are set to use the CECAFA cup to prepare for the 2019/2020 season which is slated to begin in August.
Eagles, one of the Zambian clubs to represent the country at the CAF Champions League next season, look set to further use the tournament to assess their opponents ahead of the continental showpiece.
The super league side has been drawn in group C alongside Rwandan Army side APR as well as newly promoted Ugandan club Proline and Somanian side Heegan FC.
The CECAFA-Kagame cup commences on Saturday the 6th of July with Eagles opening the tournament against Heegan FC at Kigali Stadium in a match that will be played at 13:00 East African Time.
