Under 23 star Fashion Sakala has said he works very hard to achieve positive results.
The Chipolopolo winger was heavily criticised over the home and away matches played on Wednesday and Sunday against Congo Brazzaville, which put Zambia in the lead on aggregate and made it qualify for the E.
Soccer fans continuously called for his substitution during the home game.
Despite scoring twice, numerous critics expressed displeasure with his performance, calling it selfish and unprofessional.
Many others had suggested that he should not have started in the return encounter.
However, Sakala said insults would not stop him from working hard and bringing the best of his contribution to the national side.
He further said as far as he is concerned, charms do not exist and that his performance is enhanced through God’s power.
“God of answers. Great teamwork and I’m very happy for scoring four Goals in four games to help the country to reach this far. Big thanks to all the people who are happy and I’m sorry coz I can’t impress everyone. Insulting or frustrating me will never stop ‘FS10’ to work extra hard. I really work hard to reach this far and I’m still going because God is whispering something special about my future. Juju or charms don’t exist to me, please stop it and start praying to God and he will answer your prayers simple. Egypt my final destination. FS10, dreams don’t die. Read: Ephesians 6 v 10,” stated Sakala on his Facebook page, Sunday, after the game.
