THE Chess Federation of Zambia (CFZ) says the final phase of national team trials will be crucial as it will determine the calibre of players the country will have in the 2023 campaign. Meanwhile, Zambia’s Open and Closed champion Richmond Phiri has pulled out from the trials due to work commitment. The final selection trials are set to run from February 9 to 12 at Levy Mwanawasa Stadium in Ndola.
