ZAMBIA’s hopes of qualifying the relay teams for the Paris 2024 Olympic Games have hit a snag after the men’s team finished fourth, while the ladies finished sixth at the 2024 Bahamas World Championships at the weekend. The men’s team of Muzala Samukonga, Kennedy Luchembe, David Mulenga and Patrick Nyambe, settled for a fourth-place finish in the repechage category, managing to stop the clock at 3:03.18 seconds. In the hit won by Spain, who clocked a time of 3:02.39 seconds, Poland and Cech Republic settled for a second and third-place finish after timing 3:02.91 seconds and 3:03.00 seconds.
