Police in Petauke have arrested a 38-year-old man who filmed himself fondling an unconscious woman’s private parts whilst inviting other men to join him.

In a statement today, police spokesperson Esther Mwaata Katongo revealed that Rodgers Mwanza was apprehended in Lilongwe, Malawi, where he had gone to hide.

“Police Officers in Petauke of Eastern Province have arrested Rodgers Mwanza 38 of Petauke Township, the suspect behind the video which went viral on Social media where he was seen sexually harassing a woman in an unconscious state. He was apprehended today, 07th September, 2018 at about 15 30 hours in Lilongwe, Malawi where he went to hide,” stated Katongo.

“The suspect initially attempted to mislead the Police by stating that he was in Mozambique when in the actual fact he was in Lilongwe. He is currently detained in Police custody yet to be charged. A comprehensive statement will be issued soon. A statement was already recorded from the victim who had availed herself to Police.”
