SINDA Independent member of parliament Masauso Tembo says he is re-contesting his parliamentary seat at the August 12 polls because his grade 12 certificate is in order.

In an interview, Tembo, who was in a jovial mood, confirmed his intention to re-contest his seat, saying his results were okay.

He added that he was planning to “study something at UNZA soon”.

“I am a graduate, my results are perfect and I am going to study something at UNZA soon. I sat in 2004 and the first attempt I cleared, those are the results you can see which I have. Ma results yanga yalicabe bwino, osavutika yai (My results are just good, don’t get troubled),” Tembo said.

Tembo, who is also fondly known as Kazungula, said that Sinda constituents still valued his contribution in line with his work ethic.

“I am going unopposed and I am winning massively! I can’t compete with that boy ka Levy (Ngoma), if he will get even 1,000 (votes) then he will be lucky ninshi wadya maningi. But the biggest thing is I wish him well, I want him to recover in good time so that we still meet in the field on political grounds. Nifuna kuti apole abwelele mu lane nikamupupushe bwino (I wish him quick recovery so that he comes back in the field so that I defeat him). I am standing, let the people not get worried. I will still be on the ballot and I know people of Sinda still love me and they will give me their support,” said Tembo.
