THE Electoral Commission of Zambia (ECZ) says the outcome of the petition process is necessary for democracy to thrive as it validates the credibility of an election. And ECZ says it processed nominations based on academic credentials authenticated by bodies mandated to do so because it has no mandate to deal with academic qualifications.
