THE Electoral Commission of Zambia (ECZ) says it is discussing the possibility of registering citizens in the diaspora to vote. The commission has also explained its challenges in removing deceased people from the Voter’s Register. Meanwhile, stakeholders including political parties, the Church and Civil Society Organisations have argued that ECZ is moving at a snail’s pace in registering voters. Speaking during the Stakeholders Engagement Meeting on Certification of the Register of Voters and Implementation of CRV organised by ECZ on Thursday, stakeholders urged the commission to explain if it was going to introduce electronic voting in the 2026 general election.
