MINISTRY of Local Government and Rural Development Permanent Secretary Maambo Hamaundu says the document to amend the Constituency Development Fund (CDF) Act is now with Parliament. Hamaundu says government is reviewing the CDF Act in order to enhance delivery by cutting red tape. In an interview, Friday, Hamaundu said the review was not however aimed at compromising transparency and accountability in the implementation of CDF. “The document is with Parliament and I am sure they didn’t just mention the CDF Act, there are also a number of other Acts which are linked to enhancement of delivery of services.
