ECONOMIST Dr Lubinda Haabazoka says there is no way that the Energy Regulation Board (ERB) increased electricity tariffs without consulting the President, describing former ERB board chairperson Reynolds Bowa’s dismissal as a “fufu veve”. And Dr Haabazoka says the recent upward adjustment in fuel prices will cause economic shocks. Meanwhile, Dr Haabazoka says there is a need to hold an economic indaba as soon as possible to provide direction for the country.
