MINISTER of Home Affairs and Internal Security Jack Mwiimbu has warned critics against making “seditious accusations” over Petauke independent member of parliament Emmanuel Jay Banda’s disappearance. Addressing the media, Sunday, Mwiimbu refuted some statements made by FDD leader Edith Nawakwi, Civil Rights activist Brebner Changala and others, which suggested that government was involved in Banda’s “abduction”. “…The government, arising from this very unfortunate incident, has learnt with concern pertaining to some statements made by some individuals in the media indicating that the government [has a hand] in the matter at hand.
