FORMER foreign affairs minister Harry Kalaba says Zimbabwean President Emmerson Mnangagwa’s recent utterances about Zambia show that the relationship between the two countries has collapsed beyond repair. He has therefore called on President Hakainde Hichilema to send his predecessor, Edgar Lungu, to mediate the dispute between the two countries, saying Lungu has a good relationship with the Zimbabwean leader. A video recently emerged showing Mnangagwa telling his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin that the Americans were consolidating their power in Zambia, and as such, his country felt lonely.
