THE Special Education Teachers Union of Zambia (SPETUZ) is calling on government to urgently amend the NAPSA Act to include the lumpsum payment option for all retirees who have contributed to NAPSA. In a statement yesterday, the union stated that the current NAPSA Act, which only provided a 40 percent monthly allowance for retirees, was inadequate as it failed to recognise the valuable contributions of the workers. “The Special Education Teachers Union of Zambia (SPETUZ) stands in solidarity with other progressive Unions in demanding a lump sum payment to members after retirement.
