TRANSPARENCY International Zambia (TIZ) has challenged the UPND government to explain how illegal mining at Sensele can be happening in full view of law enforcement agencies. TIZ Acting Executive Director, Reymond Mutale, has wondered how government could be risking youths’ lives in the name of empowerment. Meanwhile, Mutale says the only way to correct illegal mining at Sensele is to formalise small-scale and artisanal mining.
