THE Lusaka City Council (LCC) says it has recorded a 44.6 percent increase in marriages in the second quarter of 2024, with 1,165 registered compared to 806 during the same period in 2023. In a statement, Friday, LCC Assistant Public Relations Manager Nyambe Bulumba said the council projected to register 5,000 marriages by the end of 2024. “One thousand, one hundred and sixty-five (1,165) marriages have been registered and legalised by the Lusaka City Council (LCC) in the second quarter of 2024.
