THE National Assembly yesterday adopted a motion moved by Nkana member of parliament Binwell Mpundu, urging government to facilitate the monetisation of social media in Zambia. The motion was seconded by Kamfinsa member of parliament Christopher Kang’ombe. In his debate earlier, Mpundu said monetising social media would help users earn a living, and that government would benefit from the revenue aspect. “The advent of social media has presented a very complex situation, especially that social media is a double edged sword.
