THE Law Association of Zambia (LAZ) has called on government to withdraw the proposed Constitutional Amendment Bill No. 7 of 2025. LAZ president Lungisani Zulu says the proposed Bill appears to have been published in the Gazette merely for citizens’ ‘general information,’ citing lack of stakeholder and citizen engagement in its development. In a statement, Tuesday, Zulu noted with concern that the proposed constitutional amendment process was devoid of stakeholder and citizen participation.
