A CHILD aged 1 year and 3 months in Kalomo has died after allegedly being struck by a pot during a couple’s fight over who was to prepare nshima. According to police, the child’s parents had an altercation that began when the husband demanded nshima and the wife refused to prepare it, leading to a fight. The husband picked up a pot and aimed it at his wife, but it hit their child, who immediately lost consciousness. The 40-year-old husband and 29-year-old wife later tried to conceal the cause of their child’s death, claiming it was due to drowning.
