THE Patriotic Front has continued to lament over the UPND’s usage of the police to restrict opposition political gatherings. Recently, the former ruling party notified the police of its intention to hold a rally in Lusaka, but the law enforcement wing stopped the event, sending heavily armed battalions to disperse gatherers, a move which did not please the PF acting president Given Lubinda. Addressing party supporters, the former justice minister observed that the government was making efforts to intimidate the opposition.
