THE observation by Health Minister Honourable Sylvia Masebo that Western Province is one of the least developed areas in Zambia cannot pass without comment. The minister is worried that most health facilities in the province are dilapidated and health personnel have been leaving after being deployed. When a concern was raised about underdevelopment in Western Province, Minister Masebo acknowledged the problem, especially in the health sector, and gave an assurance that the UPND government would devise a policy framework to improve the situation.
