THIS week, a Chingola resident who has been following our investigations around the illegal mining activities on the Copperbelt expressed anger at how the government authorities are downplaying the confusion and pollution being caused by copper traders, particularly in Chingola. The reader finds it odd that the government people are condemning our newspaper for exposing illegal activities instead of acting to protect the citizens.
