AFTER we published our arguments against the proposed increase in TV levy, ZNBC management raised complaints. In response to our claim that people don’t watch ZNBC due to its coverage being heavily skewed in favor of the ruling party, the national broadcaster conceded that it lacks balanced programming but asserted that, despite this flaw, it remains the people’s favorite channel. We’re not sure in which universe this is logical. According to ZNBC management, the corporation does not provide balanced coverage because it lacks sufficient funding.
