A 30-year-old Lusaka man has appeared in the Lusaka Magistrates’ Court for unlawfully entering Government House (Vice-President Inonge Wina’s official residence).

Royd Kashiwa is facing one count of criminal trespass contrary to section 306 of the Penal Code chapter 87 of the laws of Zambia.

Kashiwa is alleged to have trespassed at Government House Plot 2 with intent to annoy.

The incident happened on October 10, 2017 when Kashiwa entered Government House after which he lit the fire to keep himself warm.

Police officers however apprehended the accused.

Kashiwa will take plea on Monday.
