THE Zambia Medicines and Medical Supplies Agency (ZAMMSA) has threatened to terminate underperforming local suppliers’ contracts, revealing that some of them are only operating at 60 percent capacity. And ZAMMSA Director General Billy Mweetwa has admitted that there is a shortage of some drugs in certain health facilities, attributing this to poor supply by local suppliers.
