PF faction president Miles Sampa yesterday expressed gratitude to President Hakainde Hichilema for approving Chishimba Kambwili’s evacuation to either India or South Africa for specialised medical attention. Sampa posted the write up on his Facebook page but later deleted it on grounds that Kambwili wanted privacy around his illness. Sampa says he has now stepped aside on this matter and won’t be involved in any further engagements on Kambwili’s evacuation as his efforts were deliberately misunderstood. In December last year, the Kasama Magistrates’ Court sentenced Kambwili to five months imprisonment with hard labour for the offence of expressing hatred or ridicule for persons because of tribe and place of origin.
