THE Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) has appealed to the High Court against the Lusaka Magistrates’ Court’s decision to acquit Bowman Lusambo of three counts of attempting to interfere with state witnesses. Lusambo was acquitted by Magistrate Trevor Kasanda on September 26, 2024. However, in a notice of appeal, the ACC argued that the trial magistrate misdirected himself at law when he ignored the overt acts done by Lusambo with the intention of attempting to interfere with prosecution witnesses.
