MINISTER of Local Government and Rural Development Gary Nkombo has declared 45 district councils as ratable areas by statutory order. The 45 local authorities will now gain the status of rating authorities and independently prepare their valuation rolls, thereby enhancing their revenue generation capabilities and improving service delivery.
