PRESIDENT Hakainde Hichilema says leadership is not easy, it is assumed to be easy from a distance, but it is pretty challenging. We agree with him, wholeheartedly. Leadership, particularly at the national level is not for the faint-hearted. It is a job that requires not only vision, intelligence and strategy, but also humility, empathy, and an unwavering commitment to the common good. Indeed, it is far easier to be in the opposition, pointing out mistakes, criticising policies, and promising better outcomes. From the back seat, the journey always looks simple.
