THE Lusaka Magistrates’ Court has sentenced two pharmacy technologists and a police officer to two years imprisonment with hard labour for stealing drugs worth K200,000 that were destined for Nangoma Hospital. The Court has also entered a statutory judgement against the convicts, allowing the Attorney General to recover the value of the stolen medicines from their salaries or any other benefits. Meanwhile, a police officer who was driving the vehicle that ferried the stolen drugs has been acquitted in the same matter.
