PEMBA parents have handed their Grade 6 juvenile son, aged 17, to the police for allegedly defiling a Grade 2 girl, aged nine. Southern Province Police Commanding Officer Moono Namalongo confirmed the incident, saying the matter was reported to Pemba Police Station by the girl’s father on December 2, 2025, at 08:40 hours. “Pemba Police Station received a report of defilement from a 31-year-old male resident of Mudenda Village, Chief Moyo, Pemba District.
